Jack Abernethy, originally from Dallas, Texas, began his career during the grunge era of the late 1900’s at the renowned Toni & Guy salons. He quickly worked his way to their Art Team becoming an instructor and mentor to up-an-coming stylists.
Then, a strategic move to Los Angeles positioned him to work with celebrity hairdresser Chris McMillan and cultivate a lengthy celebrity list of his own.
Throughout a career-lifetime of working in film, television, and the music industry, Jack’s artistic approach has always been to create and maintain a look of natural, beautiful, healthy hair. His core belief is less is more. He’s known for his precision and a subtle, modern edge to the classic cuts.
This approach and attention to detail has won him the notice of notable celebrity clients such as Paul McCartney, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Lucy Liu, Benedict Cumberbatch, Natalie Maines, and Sophia Coppola to name a few.
